Interview with Aloise
What got you playing FFXIV?
Well, back on 2018 I got this unsatiable urge to play MMORPGs after I slowed down on roleplaying. Jumped through dozens between 2018-2019, but settled on FFXIV while the Free Trial only went up to lvl 30. Decided to buy the base game soon after. What really hooked in FFXIV and what keeps you subbed?
Two things: the lore bc I'm a sucker for cool worldbuilding and my old FC that I made with friends I made in-game (one of them even bought me Shadowbringers) who I did every Extreme in ARR, Coils of Bahamut and some other things all synced, min iLv bc they thought that was a great way to initiate me. Nowadays I torture friends by making them do Porta Decumana min iLv and have them get scared we clear barely a second before the second Ultima cast. 100% suggested you do the same, even the normal trial becomes scary even for veterans not used to clearing by a second.Miss those guys, but stopped playing FFXIV bc I ran out of spending money for Endwalker and by the time I came back everyone was gone. Also, learned to speak in english thanks to them, since I'm a spanish speaker. What do you really love to do in FFXIV?
Really hard combat challenges like Savages and Ultimates! Got UWU and TEA, also done a bunch of solo SB savages for fun and my beautiful <Gunhildr's Blade> title from winning every duel in Bozja. That was for a long time my main goal and I don't take it out, as much as I want to put stuff like <of Unyielding Lealty> or the Ultimate titles. I just love bomja.I also love to gpose, though over half of the things I take pics of never see the light of day. Oh, and literally just walking around, just like irl, I just like to take my time and look at my surrounding.Too much text, but the last thing is to learn about the lore. Got all 3 encyclopedias, one of the books with the extra tales for side characters and some other things. I love discussing theories and trying to understand the workings of history and the science behind the magic of the world. What's your latest achievement OR what is your biggest goal in FFXIV?
Well, before my partial hiatus I got to beat The Epic of Alexander with a static on this FC! If it wasn't for the DoTs, we wouldn't have cleared. Cool people btw, thanks if any of my static buddies are reading!AND (because that OR can't stop me) my goal would be to beat more Ultimates and Delubrum Reginae Savage to say I'm the FC's biggest expert on Bozja. Gotta de-rust with some Extremes, Savages and return to the warfront, though.
What is something you're proud of?
Not having killed anyone so far. In all seriousness, I'd say just being able to talk positively a out myself comfortably and believe it. It's not tremendous by itself, but that's a culmination of a lot of inner work. Self-loathing is a bitch and making fun of yourself is a slippery slope. Love yourselves, don't treat yourselves harshly. What do you like to do outside of gaming?
Run. Running on hills. Running in the city. Running in country roads. Running on the beach. Running on crowded areas. Did I mention running? I love just moving fast, going past everyone else and getting lost, finding beautiful places to rest for a while before taking off again. I just want sometimes to move away from everyone else and at the end find somewhere silent and calm to take a breather and meditate.I also like to study random stuff and delve into rabbit holes of all sorts. Languages, cultures, science, history, literature, people, etc. I love to lose myself in random studies, books, videos, documentaries, museums and such.Top 3 videogames of all time?
My top 3 has like 10 different games that rotate depending of the season, so I'll put the ones on season rn in no particular order. Oh, and no way I'm explaining or you'll have an essay to read (I'm still gonna yap anyway) (And excluding FFXIV)• Outer Wilds. Can't speak much about it because it's a game where progress is tied 100% to your knowledge of it, but it got me out of a hole and changed the way I think about my own existence. An incredible experience that I suggest everyone give a try.
• Slay The Princess: I'm a hopeless romantic and a sucker for horror. You are telling me I can get both at the same time? Hell yeah. Can't say much about this one either. You are there to slay the princess in the basement or she will end everything and everyone as you know it. That is an immutable truth and all you need to know getting in.
• TWEWY/Neo TWEWY: Putting these two together, wonderful series. They have a great story and loveable characters that feel so real it's insane. As weird as it was, I loved the gameplay on the first one on DS and the second one was all I could've asked of a sequel and then some more. On my top 5 since I played them and still there years after.Special mention to Rimworld, Don't Starve, the entire Zero Escape series, Patapon, Chrono Trigger and UT/DR!Top 3 songs of all time?
Do I go with recency bias or try to think of all-time and not count recent songs? Screw it, both.
• Lonely Ghost, Jack Conte. His music is kinda bizarre and the vibe is immaculate, eerie and kinda lonely (haha). By the way, this dude is the CEO of Patreon, fun stuff.
• Oshakashama, RADWIMPS. Such a high energy song that gets me pumped and the lyrics are great! For similar stuff, they also have DADA and Hyperventilation.
• Putting the entire Kagerou Project here, special mention to Yobanashi Deceive, Lost Time Memory and Imaginary Reload. A series of songs telling a longer story about teens with special powers trying to find where to fit in after life throws a stupid amount of shit at them.
BONUS! If you had one wish, what would it be?
Fuuuuck, what would it be? I mean, if I skip obvious first things like "end world hunger" or "world peace" and stuff like that... Let's assume somebody already wished for those to give a more interesting answer... Faster learning of knowledge and skills, definitely. Imagine how cool that'd be, since I'm not taking the effort out of the equation, just making the process faster. More languages to learn, could find solutions to problems faster and such. I can do what I love to do, learn stuff! Better! Plus I wouldn't need to dedicate that much time to it so it wouldn't impact my day to day.

What is mitigation?
What is mitigation and how to use it
by Kaptn Mitigation is the act of reducing incoming damage. Simple enough right? Mitigation tends to come in one of three ways:
Healing
Shielding
% damage reductionEach role uses those in different ways but whether you’re a DPS, healer or tank it’s just as important to mitigate damage well, especially in harder content where each % or point of hp counts.Healing
Healing is effective in scenarios where the incoming damage isn’t too high. An AOE that hits multiple times can easily be mitigated by heals over time for example. It is far less effective against big hit since healing can never surpass your maximum hp.Shielding
Shielding is effective everywhere, however once the shield is consumed, it’s gone. It shines most against single hits, tank busters or big AOEs that hit only once since the shields can be very big, sometimes even being bigger than your maximum HP.% damage reduction
% damage reduction is useful everywhere ! Whether it’s multiple smaller hits, or a big one, any % helps. One important thing to note is that it stacks up multiplicatively and not additively, stacking multiple ones in some cases isn’t the best. While it can help on big AOEs (using feint & addle at the same time), keep in mind you can’t just reach 100% and call it a day.For example: A hit goes out and does 100 damage. If a player applies a 10% damage reduction and someone else uses a 10% damage reduction, the result will be:100 -10% = 90
90 - 10% = 81Is it bad? No! Some hits will require multiple buffs/debuffs to be stacked. Mitigation for each role
by Kaptn Each role uses mitigation differently, with healers/tanks having a lot more to use versus DPS.DPS
DPS comes in multiple forms. Melees will have feint, Casters will have addle and Phys Range will all have a similar effect (each class having a different name). These will almost always be used on big AOEs that hit the group. Talk with your group/healers about where they want the mit to be applied. Generally, Melee 1 and Melee 2 will alternate their Feints. If the hit is big enough, the caster will add Addle with Melee 1 and the Prange will add their own mit with Melee 2, or vice versa. This is very fighter dependent, talk with your healers to see where they need the mit!In some cases, using Feint or Addle on a tank buster can also help. Each DPS also has Second Wind, also referred to as “Personal”. Make sure to make good use of it. When healers are out of range or there’s too much going on, using Second Wind can be the difference between a wipe or a success.Healers
In most parties, you will have a regen healer and a shield healer. They will both use a ton of mitigation to keep the party alive in multiple ways. It’s hard to describe exactly how to use it as this is very fight dependent and a lot of it comes down to who your co-healer is. Some mechanics will have one healer focus the main tank while the other one focuses the off tank. Some mechanics will be half the party for one, half the party for the other. Some mechanics will be keeping the party alive together. Talk it out with your co-healer and experiment! The most important part here is your resource management. While putting a 200k shield on someone is strong, if it’s to mitigate a 50k damage hit you’re wasting resources that could be used elsewhere. Same thing applies for healing; if the tank is half hp but there is no damage going out for the next 20 seconds, you don’t need to fully heal the tank right away. Use that time to DPS and save some resources for later. You also want to make sure you have mitigation (Heals and shields) for every raid-wide/hits incoming. Having a plan in place helps a lot with that.
Tanks
Tanks will use a lot of mitigation in every fight. While they all have different names for the skills, here are the terms generally used for them to cover the similar tank cooldowns:Invuln: Living Dead / Holmgang / Superbolide / Hallowed Ground
Rampart: Rampart
25s: Bloodwhetting / The Blackest Night / Heart of Corundum / Holy Shelltron
Buddy Mit: Nascent Flash / The Blackest Night / Heart of Corundum / Intervention
120s or 40% or “big mit”: Damnation / Shadowed Vigil / Great Nebula / Guardian
AOE mit: Shake it Off / Dark Missionary / Heart of light / Divine Veil
Reprisal is also an AOE mit used by all tanksEach of the classes also have additional skills not “shared”. Thrill of battle, Dark mind, Camouflage, etc etc.The main use of all of these will be for tank busters. As a general rule, on every tank buster you will want: your 25 + 1 other mit. If you can survive with this, good! This means you can save resources for either the next tank buster, or some mechanics where it hits hard.
In other cases, you will need your 25 + 2 mits to survive.
And in some cases, you will need to invuln to pass through the tank buster. Note that while it’s not always needed to invuln, a lot of the fights will have the tanks use it to make it much easier to mitigate. For your AOE mit, it will mostly be used on raidwides and generally alternate between Main Tank and Off tank.Raidwide 1: MT uses AOE mit + OT reprisal
Raidwide 2: OT uses AOE mit + MT Reprisal
Raidwide 3: MT uses AOE mit + OT reprisalYou can also use both OT or both MT at the same time, however it is a bit easier to remember only 1 cooldown compared to 2, and gives you less weaving to do.
Raid Food and Pots
Why do I need raid food and pots? How do I know which is the best?
by ali Potions are medicines that give a temporary gain to your main stat. This buff is very short, but it gives a significant buff that causes you to do a significant amount of extra damage while it's active, especially if used under buffs. By buffing your main stat, it causes all of the damage you deal to scale much higher during the window the potion is active.Food is very important at all stages from prog to clear, but more so during prog. High-end fights deal a specific amount of damage that can bring a player down to critical health, and this damage is tuned by the devs with players' food buffs in mind. The one stat all food has in common is "Vitality" which increases your HP, so not having food can cause you to die to unavoidable incoming damage. Food also comes with buffs for stats that are desirable for doing more damage (critical hit, determination, direct hit, spellspeed, skillspeed) so food will allow you to do the most damage possible. The best food and potions depend entirely on job. For potions, you want to use the one that buffs your main stat (mind, dexterity, intelligence, or strength). An easy way to check this is by opening your character panel with the job equipped. The main stat will be significantly higher than the other three, or you can also check your gear because it should be the stat on every piece of gear you are using. For food, it's best you consult an external source like The Balance or ask a mentor of the job you're inquiring about. Most people will be using crit food, but det/dh food is also viable depending on gear and sps/sks food may be used for GCD alignment purposes.
BiS and Melding
What the heck does BiS mean and how do I gear?
by Reylah BiS stands for “Best in Slot”. Every combat job in this game has a specific set of gear and Materia melds that enables them to do the most damage they can push which changes every patch. Gear in FFXIV is a progressive process. Gearing up normally starts with crafting the new set for your class and earning a weapon from current EX raid, then moves onward to winning gear in savage raids. If you are doing savage, then there are two sets you need in mind:
Progressive BiS/Starting BiS – Opening patch crafted gear + EX weapon.
This is gear that will slowly be replaced as you progress through your savage tierStandard BiS – Savage Gear + Tome gear augmented with savage material loot. This set will NORMALLY be your final set.Every class BiS can be found in The Balance Discord under their respective class resource tab. As the patch goes on, BiS alternatives can be obtained through different content. These changes will always be found in The Balance discord as well.
What should I meld and why?
by ali Melding materia is meant to primarily accomplish two things:
1) It adds permanent stat buffs similar to what food does to allow you to do as much damage as possible
2) Aligning your GCD (global cooldown) by speeding up your spellspeed or skillspeed if it's not able to be aligned without it.Raid gear was made to be melded, so it is absolutely important that your gear is melded at any time when you step into high-end duties. As for specifically what to meld, this is also similar to food. You should be melding the stats that you will get the most benefit out of. You should always consult external guides/mentors specific to job, but most of the time this will end up being crit, det, or dh because these are the stats that directly buff your damage.IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE that all gear comes with inherent stats and these stats have a limit. When you go to meld any piece of materia, check to see if the piece of gear is capable of having that stat added to it. If you see the number turn red in the melding prompt, that piece of gear is already capped in that stat, and you will be losing potential stat points. There are very, very few exceptions to this rule and you should only do this if people have calculated the BiS and the BiS requires this.
What is penta melding and should i do it?
by ali Any gear capable of being melded will have available slots that materia is able to be added. These are shown as empty circles toward the middle section of the item display when you inspect the piece of gear you want to check. The spots shown have a 100% chance of success if you attempt to meld a piece of materia into it. However, as long as a piece of gear ISN'T marked with "Advanced Melding Forbidden", you are able to meld more materia than the slots allow (up to 5 total including the guaranteed slots), with each additional slot having a significantly lower percentage of success than the previous. This means that doing all 5 slots will take a very large amount of materia, which can get very expensive very fast.Pentamelding is a very niche thing that is only required in a few scenarios. The two most common are if you want best-in-slot stats on crafters or gatherers, but the more common scenario is if you are raiding in savage content early into the release. With every raid tier released, new crafted gear is also released. But in order to get the most out of new crafted gear, you have to pentameld it because the DPS checks in savage raids are tuned with pentamelded gear in mind. You can budget if absolutely necessary and save a few slots, but if everyone on your team is on crafted gear that is not fully melded, there is a very high chance you will be unable to meet the DPS checks. Therefore, if you are raiding early into the tier, it is almost completely necessary to pentameld unless you are 100% confident in your ability to do near-perfect damage and your team is well-geared.
UI/HUD
UI/HUD, what are some helpful changes I can make to make raiding efficient?
by ali Most of the changes made to your UI/HUD are going to be up to preference. The most important thing is to make sure your HUD is laid out in a way that you know exactly where to look for relevant information during a raid. For example, a healer might want to have the party list closer to the center of their display than a DPS player would because healers need to keep track of team HP and be able to click on teammates quickly.A big one for any player is making sure that your debuffs are clearly in an area you are able to check quickly, and make them bigger if you want to make them even clearer to read. While you're raiding you should ask yourself "Am I having to look around my screen to hunt down any information I need during a fight?" and if the answer is yes, you should move those HUD elements to somewhere nearer to your center of vision. At the very least, you do not want to clutter relevant info in a way that it's hard to parse mid-fight.
Two Minutes
Importance of 2 minutes
by Ruri After the release of Endwalker and patch 6.1 the game took a turn into a 2 minute meta. Where buffs used to mainly have different times and some classes would have 2 minutes, now all buff classes were given a raid buff every 2 minutes. Raid buffs are essential to the damage profile a group has, dramatically changing the amount of damage that is done to a boss. Nailing a 2 minute as a team is the key to being able to beat any DPS check and is required by tougher fights. What is a 2 minute
A 2 minute refers to the buttons classes have with a “2 minute” cooldown. All raid buffs such as astro’s Divination is a perfect example of a 2 minute raid buff.
Divination has a 120 second cooldown and buffs the damage of the player and team mates. Most of the time 2 minutes refers to a raid buff to help boost the damage of all players, but it also applies to the high damaging attacks that a class will have. A good example of a high damaging button is samurai’s 2 minute button.
This is not a raid buff and appears to not give a lot of damage but allows access to the button Ogi Namikiri which does a critical hit to all enemies in front of you.
Even though this class does not have a buff to give to the rest of the raid, a large chunk of damage will be missed under buffs is a samurai does not hit his 2 minute buttons on time.
A proper 2 minutesWhen a team is able to correctly time their two minutes it delivers a devastating amount of damage onto an encounter and helps push for a team to not get hit by an enraged wall. This is a more simple example of a 2 minute rotation on the GCD side but showcases what correct raid buff timings will look like in a choreographed group. This is the damage chart that goes along with the astros example above.Every mountain is caused by 2 minutes and every dip is the filler in between. What should be put into a 2 minuteA class's biggest cool downs are going to be all used during a 2 minute window. Many classes will store their job gauge or resources in order to put more damage into this buff window. The reason people do this is to shove as much damage as they can while they have all the stacking buffs on top of them. Unlike mitigation, putting everyone buff together is ideal and makes for a much bigger burst window.
One Minutes
1 Minutes
by Ruri Other than just having a 2 minutes, some classes function more off of a 1 minute rotation. Naturally they will line up into the 2 minutes, but count as mini bursts on every minute window. Tanks are a great example of classes that all run on a 1 minute rotation. A great example would be a move like Inner Release.
The button's cooldown is 60 seconds and allows for 3 devastating attacks on a boss. From the early stages of this class all the way to level 100, the class functions around this 1 minute cool down. When learning a rotation it's key to look over what is a class's natural 1 minute and what is a button that should be forced into a 2 minute.Learning a rotationThe best way to learn a rotation is to learn from others. People put a lot of time and energy into labbing out what is the highest damage rotation for a class. Discords and sights like The Balance serve a core resource to be able to find your opener and basic 2 minute rotation. Specific fights might call for a different rotation or burst windows and might make certain fights difficult to deal high damage in. The best recommendation is looking through the logs of players who are more skilled in a class to get a good idea of how they handle these tricky windows.
Gains
What does “Gain on X” mean?
by Crimson Summary:
The term “Gain on X” in Final Fantasy 14 refers to which skills you should be utilizing when attacking multiple enemies. There are some jobs in the game where if you are only hitting two enemies you still do more damage using only single target weaponskills (GCDs) and abilities (OGCDs). The term “Gain on X” is used to describe how many enemies need to be hit by a weaponskill or ability for it to be more beneficial for damage.Examples:
1) One of the easiest examples of this is with the dancer job. The Cascade Weaponskill is the first single target action in a dancers standard 1, 2, 3 attack sequence. As pictured below it will hit only 1 enemy with an attack potency of 220. However, it is paired with the Area of effect (AOE) weaponskill, Windmill, which shares a cooldown. The Windmill weaponskill only hits with a potency of 120, but that is for every enemy hit by it. So if you are able to hit 2 enemies with Windmill that potency then equals 240 which becomes higher than the standard 220 potency from its single target variant. This makes Windmill a “Gain on 2” since hitting only 2 enemies makes it more beneficial than using the single target Cascade.
2) Another example of this is the Samurai abilities Hissatsu: Shinten and Hissatsu: Kyuten (Pictured below). The Shinten variant is the single target ability that has a potency of 250. Kyuten is the AOE variant that has a potency of 100. If you only hit 2 targets with the Kyuten ability it will only deal a total of 200 potency when used which does not make it more beneficial than Shinten. However, if you hit 3 or more enemies the potency will then be 300, 400, 500, etc. depending on how many enemies are hit. Kyuten requiring 3 enemies to be hit to have a higher potency would make that ability a “Gain on 3”.
Party Finder
Party Finder 101, what PF says and how to set one up.
by Reylah Party Finder is an important tool if you want to get practice or clears outside of your static times or fc events. Every fight in PF has its own language due to different strategies or raid plans being circulated when a fight is current. For any current fight, PF will have multiple parties up each with their own progression shown by what mechanic they are currently stuck on. PF titles will list which mechanic the group wishes to practice as well as any raidplans or strategies the leader wants to use. Group leader will also add one of these following words along with the mechanic:Fresh – New to practicing that mechanic, expectations for party to reach and wipe early to mechanic.
Prog – Currently practicing mechanic, expectations for party to study and understand how mechanics can be resolved but still wipe to it.
Cleanup – Working to resolve mechanic and move onto the next part of the fight, expectations for party to be comfortable with mechanic and resolving it.A fight with multiple complicated mechanics or phases will typically have several different raid plans. The PF title will always say what phase or mechanic will have what raid plan or strategy. An example I will use if M7S, a fight with 3 phases and two raid plans.M7S | P2 Clean up into P3 Fresh | Toxic Friends P1 and P3, Locked Seeds P2So Toxic friends is the raid plan for the phases 1 and 3, then Locked Seeds is the raid plan for phase 2. Leader intends for the group to know P2 clean enough to move onto P3.If there is any confusion with PF language for any fight, you can always ask in the savage threads or ping an officer and they will explain it to you or help you set up your own PF.
Resources
What are common resources people refer to?
by Reylah For combat-oriented content, the most important resource has to be raid plans. These are the most important resource available to everyone. These are relevant in every fight in this game, typically found in a Pastebin link in the PF title. These make sure everyone is on the same page when doing mechanics.Another resource people commonly use are visual guides provided by FFXIV content creators such as Hector, Mr. Happy, Kobe, Rinon, Yukizuri, and many more. Often raid plans are created from these creators, or these creators will adopt current raidplans already out. If you do not see a Pastebin for a raid plan and see a familiar name, assume you can just look up the fight on YouTube with the creator’s name at the end. Descriptions in their videos might also refer to the raid plan they are referencing as well.Lastly, raiders will always use The Balance discord for anything related to their class. The Balance provides per each combat class their current skill rotation, their BiS (Best in Slot) gear and respective melds for current AND previous ultimates, tips/macros, and much more. If there is a question for a class you play that cannot be answered by mentors here, then this discord is your best chance at getting it answered. Icyveins is a similar resource guide to The Balance but not nearly as in depth as it.On the topic of Discord, there is always a discord server for exactly what you need. There are ultimate and savage raiding discords, discords that handle crafting and gathering information, discords for housing and recruitment, and many more. All you need to do is ask and someone will point you down to a server for it.

FF Logs
FF Logs
by Ruri FF Logshttps://www.fflogs.com/FF logs is a site that allows you to track the damage you have done in a fight. Almost all difficult content you do is logged and will have a number correlating to your performance. Even if you yourself don’t log, someone in the party will be. Its major use comes from recording the internal numbers that go on in the game. From mitigation to the amount of damage being done, FF logs will record and show it all.TabsWhen you enter into a log you will be able to see multiple different tabs. Each one has its own use.
Damage Done will show you overall damage in the encounter.
Healing shows overall healing done in the encounter and includes mitigations.
Death refers to the deaths in the encounter.
Resources show mitigation, healing and damage taken all in one.
Cast shows all cast done in the encounter and can timeline the fight.Damage Taken, Threat, Buffs, Debuffs, Interrupts, and Dispels are rarely used and refer to their respective names.Example of the different tabs on a M5S page
Damage DoneThe most common use of FF logs is recording the damage that a player is doing. Based on the amount of damage a player deals during an entire encounter, the player is given a set number ranked against all other players in the same class.Example of a basic FF logs page for an encounter M5SAs you can see from this page it records the amount of Rdps, Adps, Ndps, and Cdps along with the amount of parses that were out during the time. The left side is the Historical rank from when it was posted. The numbers define your placement in the world based on the percentile you are in. 0 being the worst log recorded, and 100 being the best.Color chart:
0 - 24% Gray
25 - 49% Green
50 - 74% Blue
75 - 94% Purple
95 - 98% Orange
99% Pink
100% Gold
HealingThe healing tab is very similar to the damage done section. It displays the amount of healing and mitigation used throughout the encounter and ranks players based on the overall performance of the class. It shares the same ranking and coloring system as damage done. A healing log does not tell the whole story and having someone with a high healing parse does not mean they are playing better then the other healer. Healing is a joint effort between 2 healers and its ideal both find common ground in making a heal plan to lead the team to succeed. This may mean one healer has a much higher parse then the other. As long as both healers are able to maintain high damage and keep players from dying, nothing else matters.Resources Tab/DeathsThe resources and death tab have a bit of common ground between them. Both can show you the amount of damage that a player took right before their death. Due to deaths tends to be more complex it is much more recommended to go over to the resources tab and view what took place before the actual death. Resources will show the instances of damage done to the player along with the healing and mitigation that was on the player before said instance. This can be very helpful in viewing how close a death was and what was the main reason for a player dying. Say a debuff was added to the player 30 seconds prior, and then it ended up being the reason said player died, this tab is one of the best ways for someone to read it.
XIV Analysis
XIV Analysis
by Ruri Xiv Analysishttps://xivanalysis.com/Xiv Analysis is a site used by raiders to go over the final details in a log while also giving a more friendly and digestible view for people. Typically people use this site in order to view and learn from their rotational mistakes. Xiv Analysis has a timeline which allows players to see each button they pressed and all the cooldowns they have up or used. It also tracks the missed uses of buttons and the weaving mistakes. How to useFirst off you go onto FF logs, and find a log you wish to review.
Click into the log and then copy the URL.
Take that link and go to the site https://xivanalysis.com/ and plug in the link.
It will open up a list of all the players and you can click on who you wish to view.
Breakdown pageOnce you click onto a player's name you are then able to view a front page analysis. This front page gives you a basic run down of improvements that can be made during a fight. It should be noted that not everything the site suggests should be directly listened to, due to each fight being unique and could cause you to lose usage of buttons. Should also be noted that when dealing with older logs, the site may struggle to identify what was used in a log due to the age of the encounter. The most handy tool people use is the timeline feature of Xiv Analysis. The timeline feature shows each button a player pressed at each second interval. This can be zoomed in and out by scrolling while holding the ctrl key. It shows each button that was pressed along with raid buffs other members in the party used. Many find this site useful for this features readability and can help you identify where players are clipping or miss timing important cool downs such as raid buffs.

Hello, my name is Corvi and I enjoy bringing people together in my favorite game. I've been a guild leader since Runescape '07 and before FFXIV I played a lot of League of Legends and Overwatch.
I'm interested in giving members the best experience in FFXIV! If that's helping you get mounts or achievements, ushering you into end game raids, or organizing community events-- I'm there for you!
When I'm not on FFXIV I'm probably out and about in SoCal or doing some arts and crafts!

Hey everyone! I am Reylah Azulion, the FC's bluest Red Mage and the officer in charge of everything related to the normal/savage raids!
I started my adventure during the beginning of Endwalker and have not put down the game since. Raiding has been my primary interest, clearing Endwalker's Pandemonium and having four ultimate titles under my belt. After drifting from statics and fcs, I landed in Arcanum where I was able to come out of my shell and help out as much as i can whether it be filling in for raiding groups, participating in our many events, or just hanging out with the members that have become my family here.
My goal as officer in the upcoming expansion and beyond is getting as many stars through the savage raids whether they go through PF or form a static with their fellow members. If there are any questions or concerns you have whether it be about raiding or otherwise I will gladly answer them to the best of my ability.

Hey, my name is Miqo San, also known as N'akidoya Nekochan, and I proudly hold the title of the Blue Mage leader for Arcanum. I've done many things in my time in XIV such as raiding, gposing, achievement hunting just to name a few, but I've found Blue Mage to be one of the most interesting parts of XIV.
